We strive to find new and interesting coffees from around the world and bring them to you at a fair and reasonable price. Each month, we select a coffee that stands out and is unique in its flavors, farming & processing methods, and the quality you expect from Spiral Horn Coffee. We roast each coffee to find that “perfect spot” where the combination of conductive and convective heat in the roaster makes this particular coffee exhibit all that is has to offer. We hope you enjoy the selection for this month!
October – We present Ethiopian Yirgacheffe !
Ethiopia enjoys being known as the birthplace of coffee. We think this region, as well as others, has a diversity of flavors loved by coffee drinkers worldwide. Coffee thrives in the diverse and lush forest regions, and even the more arid climates in other parts of Ethiopia. Coffee from regions of Ethiopia may have a nuanced floral characteristic, sparkling acidity, sweetness and even chocolatey rich undertones.
When ground, brewed/extracted properly we detect floral and meyer lemon notes with a hint of chocolate & cherries; sweet, smooth mouthfeel.
