Welcome to Spiral Horn Coffee

If you enjoy specialty coffee meticulously roasted to accent the flavor of its origin, you are at the right place!

We understand that you have options. We understand the science and techniques of roasting that accentuate the acidity, body, and flavors inherent in the coffee beans that specialty coffee farmers work so hard to produce. Taste the difference between what we believe is GREAT coffee and offerings from others. We work diligently every day to make you and coffee farmers proud of the relationship with Spiral Horn Coffee Co.

From $13.50

A magnificent coffee from Matongo town, in the Kayanza province of Burundi.  Farmers here own less than half a hectare of land, on average, and in addition to growing coffee, they also grow crops like bananas, beans, yams, taro, and cassava, both for sale and for household use.  Spiral Horn Coffee Co. donates 100% of profits from the sale of this coffee to The Cries of A Child – a Burundi based organization with a holistic approach toward restoration and empowerment on a community based level, through family-based children’s homes for orphaned and abandoned children, a community meeting room, a medical clinic, and a Bible school

Decaf Coffee

From $13.50

Decaf coffee that actually tastes fantastic.  Some folks can only have decaf, so we say “boo” to the haters and hooray for decaf drinkers.  WOW !   We thought we would never roast a decaf but you spoke, and we listened!  The demand was high and we went to work for you.  Great decaf is hard to find.  A lot of growers will take less than desirable lots and send them through the decaffeination process. In our search, we found growers willing to take highly rated lots selected specifically for their great coffee flavors after the decaffeination process.  We bring those to you now.

We strive to find new and interesting coffees from around the world and bring them to you at a fair and reasonable price.  Each month, we select a coffee that stands out and is unique in its flavors, farming & processing methods, and the quality you expect from Spiral Horn Coffee.  We roast each coffee to find that “perfect spot” where the combination of conductive and convective heat in the roaster makes this particular coffee exhibit all that is has to offer.  We hope you enjoy the selection for this month!

Not ready to commit to a full 12 ounce bag of our coffees or not sure which one to select?  We offer all of great coffee in 4 ounce bag sizes, whole bean or ground to your brewer preference.  Try a cup, or certainly there is enough for a full pot.  Order the 4 ounce bags individually, or we can help you by selecting our most popular coffees for you via our sampler pack.

October – We present Peru!

Our selected coffee from Peru originates from the forested mountains of Chontali region that ring the Chunchucas river valley.  The mountains of Chontali of Peru are steep, but the slopes become more moderate towards the tops allowing for coffee cultivation.  The soil pH is optimal in this area of Peru for agriculture.  Chontali is mountainous, hilly and wild.  Cultivation of coffee started in Chontali region of Peru during the 1950s, and since then the region has blossomed and production has steadily improved.

Tasting Notes: When ground, brewed / extracted properly we detect a sweet stone fruit (Cherry), peach, caramel, almond and apple.

If you have enjoyed our Costa Rican coffee, we think you will enjoy this one too!
