Coffee of the Month
We strive to find new and interesting coffees from around the world and bring them to you at a fair and reasonable price. Each month, we select a coffee that stands out and is unique in its flavors, farming & processing methods, and the quality you expect from Spiral Horn Coffee. We roast each coffee to find that “perfect spot” where the combination of conductive and convective heat in the roaster makes this particular coffee exhibit all that is has to offer. We hope you enjoy the selection for this month!
October – We Present Pumpkin Spice!
When you are in the mood for this seasonal favorite we think our Pumpkin Spice coffee will stand up against the best available. Our confidence comes from the base Colombian coffee we lovingly roast. After extensive flavor enhancement concentration taste testing with a panel of trusted consumers, we now offer our favorite.
We understand that some coffee drinkers don’t trust “flavored coffee”. Usually their perceptions were formed by someone subjecting them to the “lipstick-on-a-pig” coffee. Unscrupulous roasters will apply an overpowering amount of flavor to old coffee they want to move out of inventory. The only result is bad coffee that tastes worse. A pig is still a pig, even after lipstick is applied.
So, as with all of our other offerings, our Pumpkin Spice coffee is something that we have come to enjoy during this special time of year. We believe that you will as well.
We have roasted our same specialty Colombian coffee and just enhanced it a bit with the traditional ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg flavors found in pumpkin spice.

Decaf

Our decaf Mexico coffee is Fair Trade Certified and USDA Organic. Our decaf Mexico Chiapas scores very high on the grading scale, and even higher than some of our "regular" coffees. When ground and brewed properly, we detect cinnamon, graham, and grapefruit flavors with a thick mouthfeel.

Our decaf Colombian Huila scores just as well as all of our coffees. After all, we don't want to let you down, and roasting inferior coffee is not in our nature. We enjoy this decaf ourselves - and we aren't typically decaf coffee drinkers!
